The negotiators from the EU and US came together in New York from 3 to 7 October to hold the 15th round of negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
The 15th round of negotiations encompassed a broad range of issues. Negotiations were continued in all areas, but focused on the key pillar of negotiations, for example on the topic of regulatory co-operation.
In view of the upcoming US presidential elections, the future time schedule for the negotiations was also discussed. The Commission will now inform the Member States of the exact results of the negotiations. According to the Commission, TTIP will be one of the topics at the Council of Trade Ministers on 11 November. Heads of State and Government will also have the opportunity to discuss TTIP at the European Council on 20 and 21 October.
